EBD critical summaries available on the Web
The ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry has updated its critical summaries, posted online at ebd.ada.org.
The summaries, which provide concise analyses and appraisals of evidence-based systematic reviews from other publications, are offered as a resource for dentists to use in clinical decision-making. These appraisals are prepared by experts working with the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry.
Here are some of the newest critical summaries posted on the website:
- Enamel matrix derivative is effective in the treatment of intrabony pockets;
- Small beneficial effects from antibiotic treatment of acute maxillary sinusitis;
- Better satisfaction found with mandibular implant supported dentures but limited evidence regarding quality of life;
- Outcomes of one-stage versus two-stage implant placement.
