Dentists, pharmacists announce oral health collaboration
The American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Periodontology and American Pharmacists Association announced a collaborative effort to expand awareness of the impact of medications on dry mouth, a condition known to health professionals as xerostomia. More than 500 medications can contribute to oral dryness, said ADA’s Aug. 11 announcement, which offers further detail.
