Testing services suspension
To better serve students and members, the ADA and Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations are undergoing a major technology project to update software systems that support the Dental Admission Test, National Board exams and other testing programs. As part of the upgrade, some testing services will be suspended in January 2012.
Those seeking scores for the Dental Admission Test and National Board Dental and National Board Dental Hygiene Examinations will be affected by the suspension. People will be able to test, but applications, test results and score reports will not be processed during this time.
The upgrade begins in January 2012 and is expected to last from two to four weeks. Information on expected delays will be posted on ADA.org. Members and dental students affected by the upgrade are encouraged to visit the website at www.ada.org/101.aspx to monitor the status of the project.
- The services affected are:
- DENTPIN application and retrieval system;
- application processing;
- score processing;
- score report requests.
Testing at Prometric Test Centers (DAT and NBDE Part I and Part II) and Pearson Vue Centers (NBDHE) will be operational during January 2012, per normal test center schedules, for individuals who have received an eligibility letter prior to Jan. 3, 2012, and scheduled a testing appointment.
