Annual Session goes virtual

Log on to to see highlights from Las Vegas

By logging on to, viewers can experience—or re-experience—some of the best of the ADA’s 152nd Annual Session, which convened Oct. 10-13 in Las Vegas through this year’s new virtual extension of the meeting.

“This virtual extension allowed ADA members nationwide to log on and watch live as Dr. Condoleezza Rice took the podium during the Opening General Session and Distinguished Speaker Series program Oct. 10, as well as to view and interact in real-time during the six Education in the Round live patient education programs and to attend the ADA’s Open Clinical and Science Forums from off-site,” said Dr. Kent Percy, 2011 program chair for the Council on ADA Sessions. “But viewers also have the option of logging on now for events, courses and special features that are archived for viewing on demand, at their convenience.”

There is also content open to all viewers (members and nonmembers), including a virtual tour of the 3-D Imaging Center and the Pride Institute Technology Expo, the Dental Student Roundtable, the Adult Preventive Care Practice of the Year competition winner, and a team-building course presented by the coach of the U.S. Olympic water polo team.

To log on to the members-only area of ADA365, ADA members must visit and use their ADA member number plus the password “ADA365.” This information was emailed early in October to all ADA members who have an email address on file with the ADA. Members who didn’t receive an email alert can update their email address information by logging on to and clicking on the “Update Personal Information” link, or contacting the ADA Member Service Center Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Central time using the toll-free number on their member card.

“We hope that viewers who log on to view the archived feed from this year’s Annual Session will be able to join us in person for next year’s meeting Oct. 18-21, 2012, in San Francisco,” Dr. Percy added. “Online preregistration and hotel registration for next year’s meeting is open now through Oct. 28, and the complete registration system will open April 11, 2012.”
