EBD Center seeks dentist reviewers

The ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry has received a grant to host several ADA Evidence-Based Review (AER) workshops at dental schools where evidence-based reviewers will learn how to write the summaries.

The grant is an administration supplemental grant from the National Library of Medicine and the National Institute for Dental and Craniofacial Research that comes from the Recovery Act Funds of 2009.

The grant also enables the Center to enhance the EBD Web site by increasing the number of critical summaries of systematic reviews as well as adding really simple syndication to the site.

The upcoming AER training workshops will be held Nov. 19-20 at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry; Jan. 13-14 at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University; and March 15-16 at New York University College of Dentistry.

The workshops are open to any dentist interested in participating in AER programs and workshops.

Acceptance into the program includes a commitment to writing 10 critical summaries for the EBD Web site. For more information about the AER program or to submit an application, visit
