ADA issues alert about spam email
Spam: The message received by some ADA members.
Recipients of the message (displayed above) are advised against opening it or attempting to access the link contained within. It is an attempt to trick you into clicking on the link “Secure account log in,” which may result in an attempt to infect your computer with a virus or to trick you into providing personal information.
About a dozen individuals have reported receiving the message. The ADA is trying to determine the source of the email addresses and has no reason to suspect the source was the ADA. The ADA does not sell, rent or publish in any way the email addresses of current or former member dentists in our database.
If you have received this spam message, the safest action will be to delete it. Please note that legitimate emails from the ADA are distributed in one of the standard ADA email formats, as you are accustomed to receiving.
