ADA launches new classified ad program

Clearwater, Fla.—The ADA is launching a new classified advertising program in 2013.

Included are a rebranded, restructured and enhanced recruitment and classifieds listing section in The Journal of the American Dental Association, and a new product, service and practice-for-sale listings section in ADA News.

The new program will provide an effective channel for dentists and other dentistry professionals to discover and promote career opportunities as well as dental products and services. In addition to the print portion of the new classifieds program, a new interactive online job board and an online classifieds resource will also be launched in the coming weeks. The program is presented in partnership with Russell Johns Associates.

"Russell Johns has an excellent history of helping associations manage their classified advertising businesses," said Michael Springer, ADA senior vice president for business and publishing. "Our new program allows us to offer ADA members a more streamlined experience and enhanced options."

Inclusive of print and online components, the new classified advertising program is a communication channel for dental practices to recruit dentists and dental professionals from across the country; buy/sell equipment; and list/find practices for sale or office space for lease. Partnering with Russell Johns Associates, experts in medical/dental recruitment and classifieds, supports the ADA's drive to provide members with top quality resources.

"Enhancing the connection between ADA members and classified listings that are targeted to the dental industry is front-of-mind as we launch these new advertising programs and member tools."

The ADA's focus on the classifieds program is connected to a broader initiative offering enhanced member support and practice management tools, including development of a new member resource center, the Center for Professional Success. The Center for Professional Success is being designed to help members succeed in all facets of their practice.

"Our goal with the resource center is to provide best-in-class practice management resources that help all of our members excel in the various stages of their careers," said Mr. Springer.

The new classifieds program will launch this year in print with the July issue of JADA and the Aug. 5 issue of ADA News. ADA members who would like to advertise in any of the ADA's classified advertising mediums will receive member discounts and can work with Russell Johns Associates as a single point of contact for all of their classified advertising needs.
