Washington—Judicial Watch, a self-described "conservative, non-partisan educational foundation," filed a lawsuit Oct. 1 on behalf of Kawa Orthodontics, LLP challenging Obama administration delay of the Affordable Care Act employer mandate. Scheduled to take effect Jan. 1, 2014, the mandate was postponed until 2015.

Washington—The U.S. Office for Civil Rights Sept. 19 issued a statement of delay "until further notice" in enforcement of the HIPAA requirement for certain CLIA and CLIA-exempt laboratories to revise their notices of privacy practices.
