ADA vs. Cigna et al.

The American Dental Association and two of its member dentists are suing several of the nation's largest insurers under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) and supporting state laws for insurance abuses against dentists contracted under the insurers' managed-care plans. Defendants named in the lawsuit are CIGNA Corporation, CIGNA Dental Health, Inc., MetLife, Inc., Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, and Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. The class-action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in Miami.
