Innovative Dental Assessment Research and Development (IDEA) Grants Program

The Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations will again sponsor the 2009 Innovative Dental Assessment Research and Development (IDEA) Grants Program to support research and development in assessment theory and practice, and to encourage innovative methods for assessing an individual’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Symposium on Integrity and Ethics in Dental Education

The American Dental Association’s Council on Dental Education and Licensure (CDEL) and Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs (CEBJA) in collaboration with the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the American College of Dentists (ACD) sponsored a Symposium on Integrity and Ethics in Dental Education.

The theme of the Symposium was the beginning of a profession-wide focus on integrity and ethics in dental education and practice in light of a possible rise of unethical behavior among dental students and recent graduates.  The program brought together over 75 participants representing leaders, educators, students, and national experts in ethics.
