ADA Component Dental Societies and Affiliates of Participating Specialty Organizations Approved through the Extended Approval Process

In the spring of 1996, the ADA CERP Committee adopted procedures for ADA constituent dental societies that have received ADA CERP provider recognition to conduct a review and extend ADA CERP approval to their component societies that offer continuing education primarily to their own members. Subsequently the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP), and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) have been authorized to conduct the Extended Approval Process for eligible affiliates.

The Recognition through the Extended Approval Process Section of this list includes ADA component dental societies approved by the relevant constituent dental society, as well as affiliates approved by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP), and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), that have received ADA CERP provider recognition and have been authorized to conduct a review and extend ADA CERP approval to their component societies that offer continuing education primarily to their own members. Other component societies and specialty affiliates offering continuing education to a national or regional audience, and that have been recognized by the ADA CERP, are listed in the National Approval Section.
