Introduction
Following a successful 2008 Conference, we're planning one dozen separate events and meetings for the 2009 Management Conference Week (July 20–23) to provide a powerful forum for tripartite information and idea sharing.
To review, in 2008, the two plenary speakers, Bob Johansen from the Institute for the Future and author of Get There Early, and Dr. Paul Homoly (courtesy of CareCredit®) on how to "Speak Like a Leader," received top-drawer ratings. Another highlight was Greg Hill's, assistant executive director, Kansas Dental Association (KDA), dynamic visuals on how KDA is using new technology tools to build community and involvement. Also of high value were the presentations by constituent and component representatives and the discussions and networking they sparked.
For 2009, the Department of Dental Society Services will again be working with a TRIO team of dental society executives to develop a program that will draw many representatives from constituents and components in this unparalleled opportunity to learn from and connect with other societies for the benefit of all.
