Bob Johansen, Ph.D., distinguished fellow, Institute for the Future, Palo Alto, California

Dr. Johansen spoke at the ADA’s “Cross-Agency Collaboration” meeting (for Council leaders and others) this January and will lead a session for the ADA’s 2008 House of Delegates. Get There Early helps leaders resolve the constant tension between judging too soon and deciding too late. Dr. Johansen, a social scientist with an interdisciplinary background and the author of six books, has worked for more than 30 years as a forecaster, exploring the human side of new technologies.

There's no escaping it: How well you communicate is a key element in determining your success as a leader. This session will offer practical information on how to present ideas in a way that stirs action. Dr. Paul Homoly, a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), is president of Homoly Communications, and is widely known for his coaching in leadership and communication to highly educated professionals.
