Let the ADA know what problems you are experiencing with third-party payers with the ADA’s Third-Party Payer Complaint form. This form gives dentists and dental staff the opportunity to provide the ADA with basic information regarding payer issues and complaints. The information received will be used to keep a close watch on carrier trends and problems.
The ADA often meets with national third-party payer organizations and individual payers to discuss areas of mutual concern. Currently efforts are being made by both the ADA and major carrier organizations to seek greater cooperation on several fronts. It is important that dentists nationwide report the problems they are having with third-party payers so that they may be addressed during these meetings.
The ADA will continue to be the advocate for the dental profession on equal terms with representatives from the dental benefits industry. You can assist us in this effort by keeping us informed of the insurance problems you encounter in your daily interactions.
