General Information
All content in JADA, ADA News, ADA Guide to Dental Therapeutics and related works is copyrighted by the American Dental Association. No content in JADA or the ADA News may be reproduced in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, scanning, recording or by any information storage and retrieval system, without permission in writing from the Publishing Division, American Dental Association. No content may be reproduced from the ADA Guide to Dental Therapeutics in any form or in any media.
Please contact the ADA’s Publishing Division directly to request permission to reproduce material for personal, professional or educational purposes, including requests for permission to republish tables, figures, illustrations and articles in other publications.
All requests must be in writing, using the forms provided below. Permission will not be granted over the phone, or until one month following publication of the material in JADA or the ADA News. All permissions are granted for one-time usage only, and a fee may be assessed. Permission is never granted to allow use of ADA owned content or logos for endorsements, implied or otherwise, of third party products or services, or as part of advertisements or advertising supplements. ADA’s Publishing Division cannot grant permission for use of any material within articles that is not copyrighted by the ADA; the requester must seek permission directly from the original publisher or copyright owner.
Please note that we do not allow any full text reproduction of any JADA or ADA News articles on any Internet Web site other than the American Dental Association’s own Web site, located at URL: www.ada.org. Requesters are, however, permitted to link to content on ADA.org, provided they comply with the ADA’s linking policy, which is found in the ADA Terms of Use at www.ada.org/terms.asp.
No articles may be translated into any language unless the translator has entered into a prior written licensing agreement with the ADA’s Publishing Division.
All borrowed material must contain the following credit line: author, article title, journal name, year, volume and page numbers and "Copyright © [year] American Dental Association. All rights reserved. Reprinted by permission."
To receive a prompt reply, please send your completed form to the ADA’s Publishing Division via mail, fax or e-mail as shown below. Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

A. Reprinting JADA and ADA News Figures, Tables, and Illustrations
Please include photocopies or .pdf files of the figures, tables, and illustrations as they will appear in your work along with your request. Requests will be considered for print, Internet, and other digital or electronic formats. Please complete the following form:

B. Reprinting JADA and ADA News Full-Text Articles
1. Reproduction of Full-Text Articles On the Internet or In Any Other Digital or Electronic Format: The ADA does not allow full-text reproduction of any JADA or ADA News articles on any Web site other than the American Dental Association’s own Web site, located at URL: www.ada.org, or in any other digital or electronic format, including scanning. However, linking is permitted to www.ada.org’s Web pages, subject to the terms and conditions listed in the ADA’s Terms of Use at www.ada.org/terms.asp.
2. Reprinting in Another Print Publication: Please complete the following form:

2. Photocopying for Any Other Usage
a) Fewer Than 100 Photocopies: Please complete the following form:

b) 100 or More Photocopies: Photocopying in quantities in excess of 99 copies is not permitted. However, you may order reprints for quantities of 100 or more copies. Please see professional reprint information below.
D. Translations
No full-text articles may be translated into any language unless the translator has a prior written licensing agreement with the ADA’s Publishing Division. However, requests will be considered for translating tables, figures, and illustrations.

Professionally Printed Reprints of JADA and ADA News Articles
Professionally printed reprints may be ordered in quantities of 100 or more. They are produced on 80# coated stock, gathered and stitched, in either 4-color or black and white. Single Copies of JADA and ADA News Articles
A. Single Copies of JADA Articles from 1995 Onward
Full-text JADA articles from 1995 to the present may be found on the ADA’s Web site at http://jada.ada.org . ADA members and paid JADA subscribers have full access free of charge to all issues in the JADA Online archive. All other visitors must pay an access fee per Journal article for articles posted in the last 12 months, but will have free access to all JADA articles more than 12 months old.
B. Single Copies of Pre-1995 JADA Articles; ADA News Articles
