ACE Panel

The ADA Clinical Evaluators (ACE) Panel is a volunteer group of ADA members who contribute feedback for the clinical input segments of the ADA Professional Product Review ™ program.

Throughout the year, ACE Panel members have the opportunity to suggest products they would like to see tested and report their experiences with the products they use in the office.

Who can join the ACE Panel?

What would I do as an ACE Panel member?

ACE Panel members volunteer a few hours per month to answer electronic surveys. At times, there also will be opportunities to participate in telephone interviews and panel discussions.

We are in the process of developing a website that only ACE Panel members will be able to access. Once that site is up, members can log on to see what surveys are planned or available. Until the site is up, we will contact you via e-mail with links to the new surveys.

There are two types of surveys: planning surveys and evaluation surveys. The planning surveys are used before we start evaluating a product category to find out what types of products you use, what products you are curious about and what features or characteristics interest or concern you. Information from these surveys helps us select products for testing, determine what types of tests we should run, and identify what information we should collect on each product, through laboratory research or the evaluation survey.

The evaluation survey covers one product category and asks respondents to rate the performance of the brand they use on a variety of characteristics.

How would I receive the surveys?

We are in the process of developing a website that only ACE Panel members will be able to access. Once that site is up, members can log on to see what surveys are available. We also may send e-mail notices to let you know when a new survey has been posted. Until the site is up, we will contact you via e-mail with new surveys.

What are the surveys like?

There are two types of surveys: planning surveys and evaluation surveys. The planning surveys are used before we start evaluating a product category to find out what types of products you use, what products you are curious about, what features or characteristics interest or concern you. Information from these surveys help us select products for testing, determine what types of tests we should run, and identify what information we should collect on each product, through staff research or the evaluation survey.

The evaluation survey covers one product category as asks respondents to rate the performance of the brand they use on a variety of characteristics.

Would I be compensated for my participation on the ACE Panel?

ACE Panel membership and participation is a volunteer activity. However, we do value the contribution that you make to this program and are always looking for ways to say thank you. For example, active panel members currently receive a 15 percent discount on merchandise purchased through the ADA Catalog. Other “thank you” incentives may be extended periodically.
