the American Dental Association, recognizing
that early detection is critical for
decreasing the morbidity and mortality
associated with oral and pharyngeal cancer,
encourages its members to promote early
oral cancer detection through periodic
extraoral and intraoral examinations,
and be it further
Resolved, that
the Association and constituent societies
promote prevention and early detection
or oral cancer through public education
activities.
