Let’s work together to stay safe!

The health and safety of attendees is our top priority.

Oct. 3, 2022

  • At this time, masks are optional at SmileCon, and COVID-19 vaccines are recommended, but not required.
  • Health and safety plans are based on current science and local regulations in Houston. Any updates will be shared via email to registrants and here at SmileCon.org
  • We are working with venue partners to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the George R. Brown Convention Center. Houston First is committed to providing a clean and safe environment for our attendees, and many safety measures are already in place that align with best practices. For more information on safety protocols, visit www.grbhouston.com/covid-19-health-safety-plan/.

When you registered, you agreed to abide by all posted health and safety policies. Help us by doing your part. Here is a quick reminder of what we all need to do to stay safe.

Remember the 4 W’s

Wear a mask
Wearing a mask is optional. If you choose to do so, wear it over your nose, mouth, and chin.

Wash your hands
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and frequently use hand sanitizing stations.

Watch your distance
Be mindful of maintaining distance and respect people’s comfort levels of personal boundaries.

Wellbeing Check
To attend SmileCon, you should have no known exposure to or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 10 days (check these CDC guidelines for details). If you are experiencing any COVID-19-related symptoms, please stay in your hotel room and contact the hotel medical team to get tested and referred for treatment, as appropriate.
