Dental Organizations Make Push for More Fluoridation Resolution Support

November 03, 2015 The ADA today joined with 20 other dental organizations in urging every member of Congress to cosponsor H.Res. 416, Rep. Mike Simpson’s (R-Idaho) resolution commemorating the 70th anniversary of community water fluoridation. Congressional resolutions do not carry the force of law; their intent, rather, is to express the sense of lawmakers, in this case that more communities should ensure that their drinking water is optimally fluoridated. The resolution, which Rep. Simpson introduced in September, already has 30 bipartisan cosponsors. Joining with the ADA on the letter requesting more cosponsors were the following:
