Proposed Accreditation Standards

Circulation of Proposed Revised Standards

At its Summer 2017 meeting, the Commission on Dental Accreditation directed that the following proposed revisions of Accreditation Standards be distributed to the communities of interest for review and comment, with all comments due June 1, 2018 for consideration at the Summer 2018 Commission meeting.

  • Accreditation Standards for Dental Hygiene Programs, specifically the Definition of Terms, and Standards 2-8d and 2-13 (Appendix 2) (PDF)*
     
  • Accreditation Standards for Dental Hygiene Programs, specifically Standards 2-1 and 2-24 (Appendix 3) (PDF)*
     
  • Accreditation Standards for Dental Education Programs, Standard 2-8e (Appendix 4) PDF
     
  • Accreditation Standards for Dental Education Programs, Standard 3-1 (Appendix 5) PDF

At its Winter 2018 meeting, the Commission on Dental Accreditation directed that the following proposed revisions of Accreditation Standards be distributed to the communities of interest for review and comment, with all comments due December 1, 2018 for consideration at the Winter 2019 Commission meeting.

*The deadline for submission of comments is June 1, 2018. However, the Commission directed that comments will be accepted during a Hearing on Standards conducted during the 2018 Annual Conference of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA).
