Please know that the American Dental Association’s first priority is the health, safety and well-being of everyone. Due to accessibility at the ADA Building, capacity restrictions, and the ongoing health and safety concerns of COVID-19, the ADA has made the decision to cancel the August 7 Botulinum Toxins and Dermal Fillers for Every Dental Practice Event in Chicago.
The next course is scheduled for November 6-7, 2020. Updates can be found here at ADA.org/CELive.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact CELive@ada.org.
Thinking of getting into the fastest growing area of dentistry? Then this course is for you. This course will teach the use of botulinum neurotoxin (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport) and dermal fillers for dental esthetic and therapeutic uses in the oral and maxillofacial areas. These uses include treating dental and facial esthetics for volumizing nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lifting up the corners of the mouth using anatomical landmarks, smoothing lip lines and eliminating vertical “smokers” lines, and treatment for bruxism to relieve TMJ syndrome, headaches, migraines, and bruxism.
Attendees will earn 8 CE hours per course. Continuing Education Verification will be available in your ADA online CE transcripts within 10 business days following the completion of the course(s), provided by the ADA. The American Academy of Facial Esthetics will email certificates of training within one week following the completion of the course(s). Registration opportunities include individual days as well as both days. Dental Team members must accompany a dentist.
Not all jurisdictions allow facial cosmetics to be performed by a dentist, please check with your State Dental Board for regulations in your state.
Upon completing registration for this course you will receive email confirmation from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics that will give you access to the Prepare On-Demand Module which includes the lecture, video and didactic portions of this course using the AAFE state of the art online education portal. The Prepare On-Demand Module must be completed as a prerequisite to taking the Practice Live Patient Module of this training course. The Botulinum Toxin Live Patient training will take place in the morning. The Dermal Filler Live Patient Training will be in the afternoon.
Any medical doctor, dentist, nurse, or physician’s assistant may not act a team member. Team members are classified as those who legally cannot provide injections and are auxiliary to the practitioner.
For the best educational experience, please bring your own model patients. Model patients are not provided, though you may pair up with other attendees/team members in the course. Further details and instructions will be provided following registration for this course.
