Diversity and Inclusion – How to Take Action in Your State
Susana Galvan, Manager, Diversity and Inclusion and Direct Member Outreach, ADA
Dr. Michelle Aguilos Thompson, Assistant Professor and Director of Digital Dentistry at the UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston
Dr. Mina C. Kim, Co-founder of the Woman to Woman Dentists Network
Given the changing demographics of the profession and ADA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through its core values, it’s more critical than even that the ADA, state and local dental societies evolve on their diversity and inclusion journey. To make progress, organizations must embrace strategies to advance inclusion, while growing membership and leadership diversity. This will enable organizations to foster an environment where different perspectives are welcomed and leveraged for making better and innovative business decisions.
