For Members: Logging In to for the First Time

Even though this is your first time logging into an ADA website, you do not need to create a new account. Whether you're a dental student, practicing dentist or retiree, your nine-digit ADA member number will serve as your User ID and allow you to begin the login process.

Step 1: On the page titled “Password/User ID Help,” enter your ADA member number into the field titled “User ID.” (Note: Your ADA member number is on your ADA member card. If you do not know your member number, you can either call or email the ADA Member Service Center (MSC) to obtain it. The MSC is available between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central time on weekdays. Call 800.621.8099 or email to contact the MSC).

Step 2: Click on the “Submit” button, which will allow to begin the process of creating a password.

Step 3: You should now be prompted to answer your security question. While this is your first time logging into, a default security question will already be in place for you. Once you have successfully logged in, you can create a new security question.

Step 4: After correctly answering your security question, you will be able to create a password for your account. Please note that all ADA passwords must contain at least

  • Eight characters
  • One uppercase letter
  • One lowercase letter
  • One number

This will complete your process of logging into and other ADA websites.
