Exhibitor COVID-19 Update | ADA FDC Annual Meeting 2020

The ADA has heard your concerns and will be extending the exhibit space final payment due date to July 17, 2020.  Previously, the date had been extended from April 17 to June 19.  It is our hope that this extension will give everyone a chance to regroup as dental offices begin to reopen. The latest updates will be posted here on ADA.org/meeting. Those working in the US dental industry are overwhelmed with questions and the unknown. And just like you, we don’t know what’s to come. What we do know is that together—with our member dentists, exhibitors, and sponsors—we will come out of this stronger and even more dedicated to advancing oral health. 

Our meeting exhibitors value the chance to share industry knowledge with our member dentists. And we know our members value knowledge from sources they trust, especially in a time of uncertainty. The ADA FDC Annual Meeting, with its opportunities for connection, professional, and personal growth, is still planning to help all of you navigate the uncharted territory ahead.

We will continue to follow the evolving advice from the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in regards to public gatherings. We are hopeful that we will be able to gather again as a community at the ADA FDC Annual Meeting, October 15–18, in Orlando; but for now we are postponing the opening of attendee registration from April 22 to early summer. Please note exhibitor registration remains open and accessible.

In light of recent dental meeting cancellations, many of our exhibitors have questions regarding the ADA FDC Annual Meeting, October 15-18 in Orlando, Florida. Please know that the American Dental Association’s first priority is the health, safety and well-being of everyone. As of now, ADA and FDA are still planning to hold ADA FDC 2020 in October in Orlando. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will follow the advice of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 

At this time we are continuing to work with our partners at the Orange County Convention Center and the City of Orlando on plans for October.  We are cautiously optimistic that business operations will have been re-established by then.

As we have been receiving a few questions regarding the potential to cancel if current recommendations to avoid large gatherings persist into the fall, please be assured that if ADA FDC 2020 is canceled due to ongoing safety concerns from COVID-19, refunds or credit options towards 2021 for each exhibitor and sponsor will be addressed at such time. As the situation continues to evolve, we will continue to provide updates.
