ADA FDC 2020 Policies

Onsite Registration Rules and Regulations

  • All courses must be in the attendee’s record in order to verify your continuing education hours.
  • Exhibit Hall Pass attendees must pre-register for all sessions; there is no standby option.
  • ADA members must show a current-year American Dental Association membership card as either an active, life, retired, honorary, associate, international, or provisional members. 
  • All dentists (practicing or non-practicing) must be registered in a dentist category. If a dentist registers in a category other than the appropriate dentist category, the ADA reserves the right to correct the category and charge the card on file for the difference in price.
  • All registered in a Student category must show proper student identification.
  • Attendees that do not qualify for dental team or allied health categories may register as a Guest.
  • All attendees must show proper identification.

Volunteer Rules and Regulations

Volunteer assignments are selected on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage volunteers to select a minimum of 2-3 assignments. Volunteers must select at least one volunteer assignment to receive the Complimentary Standard Registration Package. Speaker hosts and room hosts must check in one hour prior to their first assignment of the day. Hospitality volunteers must check in at least 30 minutes prior to their first assignment of the day. If you fail to check in or show up for your assignment you will be charged the full onsite registration fee for the Standard Registration Package. If you are a speaker host or room host, you will also be charged the onsite registration fee for your selected course. The ADA reserves the right to charge your credit card on file for these penalty fees.

Registration, Course Cancellation, and Refund Policy

Please see below for details regarding refunds based on time of request. Name substitutions and course transfers are not permitted.

Before Advance Registration Deadline (prior to 9.18.2020)

Course Cancellation—Courses can be cancelled and replaced through the registration website or by emailing There is no penalty to cancel a course before Friday, September 18, at 5 p.m. CT.

Full Registration and Course Cancellation—Requests to cancel a full registration for a full refund must be received on or before Friday, September 18, at 5 p.m. CT.

Exceptions will not apply.

After Advanced Registration Deadline (after 9.18.2020)

No refunds will be accepted or granted including absences due to illness, late arrivals, weather, parking difficulties, lack of proper ID/missed flights, or other reasons. Courses that are included in a registration package (Standard, Premier or Executive) can be released through the registration website at no penalty.

ADA CERP Continuing Education Recognition Program

ADA CERP Continuing Education Recognition Program ADA FDI 2019 

The American Dental Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The American Dental Association designates one (1) credit per hour for CE activities, unless otherwise noted. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the CE requirements of his or her licensing or regulatory agency and to contact them with any questions regarding licensing.

The Continuing Education Program of ADA FDC 2020 is planned and presented by the ADA Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings and the FDC Education Committee to provide attendees with a relevant and rewarding continuing education experience. Refunds and Cancellations—We can only issue refunds for subscriptions if no CE has been earned while using the subscription. If you have earned CE from a course taken while using a CE Online Subscription, you may cancel your subscription but will be responsible for paying individual course prices for any CE already earned.
