Ohio Dentist Installed as American Dental Association Trustee

CHICAGO — Billie Sue Kyger, R.Ph., D.D.S., a dentist practicing in Gallipolis, Ohio, was recently installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Kyger’s installation took place in Denver, Colorado, at the ADA’s 157th Annual Meeting.
Dr. Kyger will serve on the ADA Board of Trustees as the trustee from the Seventh District, which encompasses Indiana and Ohio. The ADA Board of Trustees formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA’s governing body, the House of Delegates. As a member of the ADA Board of Trustees, Dr. Kyger will play a major role in the organization’s objective of being America’s leading advocate for oral health.
Dr. Kyger currently serves on the ADA’s Board of Trustees Budget and Finance Committee. She has been an active member of the Ohio Dental Association (ODA), was its president in 2002-2003 and now serves on the ODA Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Kyger is also involved with a number of other professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Kyger graduated from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1979 and then The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1983. Dr. Kyger and her husband Dr. Timothy Kyger operate Kyger Dental Associates in Gallipolis, Ohio.
