Things to know before you go to San Francisco

San Francisco—It’s easy to plan a trip to the ADA Annual Session Oct. 18-21.

The ADA has made it easy for registrants to take advantage of all the discounts and services available to members such as airline and car rental discounts, special hotel rates and comprehensive registration and calendar planning tools for all continuing education, World Marketplace exhibition shopping and special events.

• Air travel—The ADA’s airline partners, American, Delta and United Airlines, will provide attendees with discounts varying from 2 to 10 percent. See the Annual Session website for contact information, discount codes and more.

• Ground transportation—ADA discounts are available from Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. Visit for URLs, discount codes and more details, or call 1-866-960-5880. All three companies have locations throughout the San Francisco area, including the airport and near the convention center and ADA official hotels. (Information on taxi and limousine services and Bay Area Rapid Transit, or BART, is also available on the Annual Session website.)

• Hotels—Choose a great room for your San Francisco stay with the location and amenities that fit your needs when you select from one of 46 ADA official hotels. The Annual Session website offers a map and amenities grid to make it easy to see your options. Dentists who have an ADA Visa Signature Card will earn triple points for their Annual Session hotel stay in an ADA official hotel (restrictions apply; visit for details). Reserving your hotel room through the ADA also allows you benefits such as complimentary shuttle service between all hotels not within walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center, and rate integrity (if an official hotel’s rate decreases over the dates of the Annual Session, so does yours).

• Best continuing education course selection—Register early and select from the widest variety of continuing education courses before they fill up. Those who register early save money because fee course costs increase after Sept. 21. No-fee courses also require a ticket, and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registering early offers more free course options. Early registrants receive their badge and tickets in the mail, allowing them to bypass the registration area on-site and get right down to business at the meeting.
