ADA unveils new 2013 membership ID card design
November 05, 2012
There’s something new coming to members when they renew their membership for 2013—a brand-new membership ID card.
The new cards are made of tear- and water-resistant vinyl, and because they’re thinner than the previous plastic card, will fit more easily into a wallet.
“Moving away from the plastic card was a tough decision, but the new style provides substantial cost savings while providing members with the very same information,” said Dr. Mark A. Bauman, chair, ADA Council on Membership.
“Additionally, the card carrier has more space to remind members about many of the exclusive benefits of membership,” said Dr. Bauman. Some examples include advocacy before Congress and federal regulatory agencies; the Ad Council’s Partnership for Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives campaign; ADA Find-a-Dentist (now on MouthHealthy.org); the ADA Seal of Acceptance; and timely publications such as ADA Professional Product Review, JADA and the ADA News.
