Register for National Provider Call
May 15, 2013
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will hold a National Provider Call on the National Physician Payment Transparency Program.
The call, which is scheduled for 2-4:30 p.m. EST May 22, is geared toward physicians, including dentists, and teaching hospitals. It will provide an overview of the section of the Affordable Care Act that requires manufacturers of pharmaceuticals or medical devices to publically report payments made to physicians and teaching hospitals with the idea of creating greater transparency around the financial relationships that occur among them. The transparency program is commonly known as Open Payments.
Dentists who are interested in participating must register for the call on the CMS Upcoming National Provider Calls registration website. Registration will close at noon on the day of the call or when available space has been filled.
The presentation for the call will be posted here, and a link to the slide presentation will be emailed on the day of the call to everybody who registered. Continuing education credit may be awarded for participating. Visit the Continuing Education Credit Notification website to learn more.
