Dental, community services integration announced

October 08, 2014 Philadelphia — The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and city officials hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking Sept. 18 to announce the Community Health and Literacy Center, a CHOP-city partnership that will provide health care, literacy and recreational services in one location for South Philadelphia children and families.

Health Center 2, one of the four community services to be housed together at the new location, offers adult and pediatric care, women's health care including gynecology, family planning and prenatal care, and dental care. The new 29,500 square foot space will include additional exam rooms, an additional dental operatory and state of the art radiology and mammography services.

The project is scheduled for completion in late 2015. More information is available at, where a "dental" search produced 53 entries.
