Webinar to focus on role of oral health benefits for kids enrolled under Medicaid, CHIP

February 25, 2015 The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host a webinar Feb. 27 for its national initiative Connecting Kids to Coverage Campaign centered on the roles Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program play in providing access to oral health benefits for enrolled children.

The webinar is from 2-3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
For National Children's Dental Health Month, the campaign's focus is on the importance of good oral health habits and dental care, starting at a young age.    
Participating speakers are:
  • Laurie Norris, senior policy advisor, CMS Oral Health Initiative, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
  • Colleen McCauley, health policy director, Public Citizens for Children and Youth.
  • Mary Kay Brinkman, oral health consultant, Bureau of Oral and Health Delivery Systems, Iowa Department of Public Health.
  • Matt Jacob, director of communications and outreach, Children's Dental Health Project.
