Two former ADA officers pass away in 2014

Drs. Joseph Cabot and Eugene Wells, two former vice presidents of the ADA, died in 2014.
Dr. Cabot of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died March 28, 2014, according to his obituary on Ira Kaufman Chapel's website. He was 92.
Dr. Cabot was a vice president of the American Dental Association from 1983-84 and served as Ninth District Trustee from 1977-83.

Dr. Wells died Oct. 31, 2014, in Hutchinson, Kansas, according to his obituary on the Elliott Mortuary & Crematory website. He was 84.
Dr. Wells was a vice president of the American Dental Association from 1978-79. He also served the Kansas Dental Association as vice president.
According to his funeral home obituary: Dr. Wells served in the Korean War in the Counter Intelligence Corps attached to the 82nd Airborne Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He graduated in 1960 from the University of Missouri Kansas City College of Dentistry, and returned to Hutchinson to begin his dental practice. Later, he and a group of other dentists opened the Hutchinson Dental Center, which offered advanced dental services.
A memorial service was held Nov. 9, 2014.
