ADA Foundation offers emergency disaster relief
August 18, 2016
Dentists suffering a disaster as a result of severe storms and flooding in Louisiana can seek immediate aid from the ADA Foundation’s Emergency Disaster Grant Program to cover emergency personal needs such as food, water, clothing and shelter.
The
program has been designed to quickly provide up to $2,000 in aid to dentists with immediate emergency need in the wake of a declared disaster. The federal government declared 20 Louisiana parishes disaster areas on Aug. 14.
Dentists may apply by submitting an application form directly to the Foundation. The application is available at
ADAFoundation.org. Dentists need not be ADA member dentists to receive aid.
The Louisiana Dental Association Foundation also offers
disaster grants and a list of
disaster preparedness and recovery resources for all dentists.
In addition, the ADA has information on
disaster recovery and
emergency planning and disaster recovering planning in the dental office on
ADA.org.
The ADA Foundation accepts contributions for its Emergency Disaster Grant Program in its efforts to provide grant assistance to those in need. To support the Foundation's
