Help the ADA evaluate products by joining clinical evaluation panel
October 06, 2016
ADA member practicing dentists are invited to participate in a panel that will help provide their colleagues with objective and clinically relevant information regarding dental products and clinical issues.
The ADA is reinvigorating and expanding its ADA Clinical Evaluators, or ACE, Panel. The panel helps produce issues of the ADA Science Institute’s Professional Product Review, which offers objective, scientifically sound and clinically relevant reviews of products and other scientific information for dental professionals.
“The importance of expanding the panel is to make one of ADA’s scientific publications, the Professional Product Review, even more relevant and valuable to members,” said Jay Elkareh, Ph.D, Pharm.D., a senior research associate for product evaluation at the ADA Science Institute.
ACE panel members offer input, often via evaluation surveys, about their day-to-day experiences with certain dental products in their practices and also offer suggestions for products to evaluate.
Current panelists or people interested in joining the panel are invited to a reception during ADA 2016 – America’s Dental Meeting on Oct. 20 at the Hyatt Regency. Registration online is required by Oct. 14. More than 200 attendees have already registered, and the ADA Science Institute encourages others to participate. The event will include an address from Dr. Jeffrey Platt, representing the Council on Scientific Affairs; the Professional Product Review editor Dr. David Sarrett; and ADA Science Institute senior staff.
