April 11, 2017
— The National Dental Association announced April 6 that its 104th Annual Convention will convene July 19-23 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.
The event will feature continuing education, a product and resource center and a variety of networking opportunities.
"The NDA is off to an excellent start in 2017, addressing issues that impact communities and dental professionals of color," said Dr. Kim B. Perry, NDA president, in a news release. "We will continue our efforts to secure our place at the table — advancing and advocating for the future of oral health."
At the annual convention, oral health professionals can learn the latest dental techniques and practice management solutions and attend workshops on a range of topics such as opioid addiction, interprofessional training and care, the impact of the Affordable Care Act on dentistry and surgical updates, according to the news release.
Featured speakers also include the Dr. Edna Kane Williams, senior vice president of AARP; Dr. Harry Johnson, president and CEO of the MLK Memorial Foundation, which built the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington, D.C.; and Dr. Anissa Holmes, CEO of Delivering WOW, an online community for dentists.
The ADA will have a presence at the meeting promoting both ADA resources and the ADA Consumer Advertising Campaign during the exhibit session. For more information on the annual convention or to register, visit ndaonline.org
