New JADA+ Clinical Scans make scientific information more accessible to members
April 03, 2017
ADA members can access some of the latest scientific information with the April launch of The Journal of the American Dental Association's JADA+ Clinical Scans.
The scans provide brief overviews of scientific articles' content and offer a scientific- and evidence-based assessment of the research.
Dr. Michael Glick, JADA editor, said the clinical scans can help clinicians "keep up with the most up-to-date information in our field" while also assessing the scientific rigor of the information.
"As clinicians, academicians and researchers, we are deluged with information from a multitude of sources — some more trustworthy than others," said Dr. Glick. "That's why we created JADA+ Clinical Scans, which are an essential, complementary resource in addition to the training and experience of oral health professionals."
The clinical scans available now cover topics such as periodontal treatment, dental implants, sleep quality and temporomandibular joint disorders. New scans will be added monthly.
More than 40 JADA+ Clinical Scans are available online at JADA.ADA.org/ClinicalScans
