Dr. Gerhard Seeberger named president of Academy of Dentistry International

— Dr. Gerhard K. Seeberger, a native of Germany now living in Italy and actively involved with the Associazione Italiana Odontoiatri, was installed as president of the Academy of Dentistry International in November during the Greater New York Dental Meeting.
The ADI represents more than 3,000 fellows in more than 85 countries. Dr. Seeberger succeeds Dr. T. Bob Davis of Texas as president of the academy.
In addition, Dr. Seeberger was elected president-elect of the FDI World Dental Federation in August at the annual World Dental Congress in Madrid.
Dr. Seeberger will assume the presidency of the FDI when former ADA trustee Dr. Kathryn Kell's term expires in 2019.
Dr. Seeberger studied dental medicine at the University of Würzburg in Germany. Then, from 2007–2012 he was as assistant professor in periodontology at the University of Cagliari in Italy. In 2013 he became an associate professor at the University of Iaşi in Romania. He is fluent in Italian, German, English and Spanish.
