Help the ADA Foundation on Giving Tuesday

November 27, 2017

First came Black Friday, then Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.

Nov. 28 is Giving Tuesday, a movement created in 2012 to celebrate and encourage charitable giving, and the ADA Foundation is hoping the dental community will keep it in mind when giving to charitable organizations this year.

The ADA Foundation annually provides more than $2 million in grants; scholarships and awards; and facilitated in-kind product donations to programs that are in alignment with the organization's efforts to advance oral health, expand access to dental care and drive research.

As part of these efforts, the ADA Foundation oversees the Give Kids A Smile program and the ADA Foundation Volpe Research Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Assistance provided by the ADA Foundation includes:

  • Aid to dentists who suffered losses due to natural disasters.
  • Access to care for children and adults through Give Kids A Smile and other programs.
  • Education about the importance of infant oral care for new mothers.
  • Support for the improvement of global oral health.
