Grant program enhances success of ADA Find-a-Dentist campaign

To amplify the reach of the Find-a-Dentist ad campaign, 12 state and local dental societies applied and received funds through a matching fund program this year.
The two-to-one matching grant program allowed state and local dental societies to purchase additional ads for their market, with the ADA providing twice the dental societies' contribution, to enhance the national ad campaign in their area.
This means targeted potential patients who lived in Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Virginia, and locals in Dallas County, San Diego County, Southwest Idaho, Montana's First District and Nassau County in New York saw the ads more often. In Nassau County, they used the additional grants to purchase ads in their local movie theaters, including an ad prior to the start of a movie directing potential patients to ADA members.
First results of the matching fund program are expected this month.
