Streamline payments with ADA resources on electronic funds transfers
April 19, 2018
Looking for ways to make practice administration more efficient? Receiving claim payments via electronic fund transfers, or EFT, instead of by paper check is one answer.
The ADA has resources for dental professionals who need guidance on implementing or using EFT in their offices.
The most popular dental benefits download this year from ADA.org is the electronic funds transfer implementation checklist. The ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs created the checklist to serve as a guide for dentists who decide on their own to move from paper to electronic payments.
This free-to-download checklist is available at ADA.org/EFTChecklist and it will guide dentists through:
- Completing your research.
- Preparing your implementation plan.
- Implementing your plan.
- Deciding when to take the next administrative efficiency step – implementing EFT's companion, the electronic remittance advice.
Other information addressing the how, the why and the myths related to EFT is available in ADA's on-demand webinar on EFT, available at ADA.org/EFTwebinar.
Staff from the Center for Dental Benefits, Coding and Quality can also help dentists with dental benefits-related problems, questions and concerns.
