Take GKAS program to next level
April 16, 2018
May 31 is the deadline to apply to the GKAS Community Leadership Development Institute, which provides Give Kids A Smile program coordinators with advanced training to become GKAS Ambassadors.
Since 2011, the GKAS Institute has offered an opportunity for GKAS program coordinators across the U.S. to share best practices, explore outreach enhancements and learn new approaches to providing care to America's underserved children.
Each year, a minimum of 10 travel awards are given to a select group of applicants to enable them to attend a three-day training session in St. Louis, where Give Kids A Smile began.
After completion, GKAS Ambassadors not only have the tools and experiences to optimize their own programs, but also become part of a strong peer-to-peer network and serve as regional resources for other GKAS coordinators.
The GKAS Institute is sponsored, in-part, by Hu-Friedy and Henry Schein Cares.
The 2018 GKAS Institute will take place in St. Louis, Oct. 24-27.
