Ethics and Legal Aspects of Dentistry Conference set for late February

Charleston, S.C. — The American College of Legal Medicine is sponsoring the 11th annual Ethics and Legal Aspects of Dentistry Conference Feb. 23-25 at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dentists attending the conference will learn about legal issues in dentistry and understand the role of government and dental education; ethical, moral and diagnostic issues as they relate to the dental practice; risk management considerations; the prescription of controlled substances; how to identify issues relating to patient care, access to care and dental health care coverage; licensure issues; social media; state board compliance realities; and the current landscape for malpractice, according to a news release from the organization.
Invited presenters who are part of the annual ACLM meeting include former Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr., and F. Lee Bailey, a criminal defense attorney whose clients included Sam Sheppard and O.J. Simpson.
