FDI annual meeting set for September in Argentina

Buenos Aires, Argentina — The countdown has begun: The FDI World Dental Congress will convene here Sept. 5-8.
Organized in collaboration with the Argentinian Dental Association, the conference provides an opportunity to meet with leaders of the dental profession and industry and serves as a platform for global continuing education.
The World Dental Congress will feature 100 national and international speakers and a dental exhibition hosted by 250 exhibitors.
The Congress will also provide exposure to the latest developments in oral health and dentistry, with workshops focusing on caries prevention and management, global periodontal health, publishing in dental literature and dental ethics.
“Meet the Experts” sessions will cover adhesive dentistry, temporomandibular joint dysfunction/temporomandibular joint – occlusion, periodontics and orthodontics.
The World Dental Congress also offers an opportunity for FDI committees to promote relevant topics to their work through the committees. This year, the Dental Practice Committee will present Quality in Dentistry, the Public Health Committee will address Tooth Loss, How to Handle It: A Public Health Perspective and the Science Committee will discuss Nanoparticles in Dentistry: Risks and Promises.
Dr. Kathryn Kell, an Iowa dentist and former ADA trustee, will preside as FDI president over the meeting.
