ADA Member Advantage-endorsed backup, recovery system unveils product for retiring, transitioning dentists

The Digital Dental Record, a managed online data backup and recovery solution endorsed by ADA Member Advantage, announced Nov. 1 a new product that allows dentists to store and access their patient records data for up to 10 years after a patient’s last visit.
DDS Safe R2 is a secure, cloud-based records retention system that allows The Digital Dental Record to inventory system files and user information and securely store a copy of a dental practice’s management and imaging data in the cloud, according to ADA Member Advantage. Most states require dentists to maintain access to their patient records between six to 10 years after the patient’s last visit.
The product can restore a working version, from three, five or 10 years ago, of the practice management system.
