Gulfport, Miss. — Law enforcement are seeking dentists' assistance in identifying a woman who had extensive dental work.

In October 1980, hunters discovered the partially skeletonized remains of a white female who was between the ages of 34-46 with medium brown, shoulder-length hair and between 5 feet and 5 feet 7 inches tall, the Cold Case Division of the Harrison County Sheriff's Office in Gulfport, Mississippi, said. Although the remains were found in south-central Mississippi, law enforcement believes there's a possibility the homicide may have occurred in another region of the country and a chance the individual may have been from the Las Vegas area.

Dentists with any information can contact Dr. John Lewis at the Mississippi State Medical Examiner's Office at 1-601-420-9072 or jlewis@mcl.ms.gov.
