Register for HPI dental market course in Hawaii

October 05, 2018 Honolulu — The ADA Health Policy Institute will present Our Dental Care System is Stuck on Friday, Oct. 19, during ADA 2018 – America's Dental Meeting.

Course No. 6307 is no-fee and will take place in Room 313C at the Hawaii Convention Center.

The course will be an informal conversation with Charles Adler, a cofounder of Kickstarter who has been named a "disruptive figure in business" by Forbes Magazine, Marko Vujicic, Ph.D., ADA chief economist, and Bill Robinson, leader of the ADA's new service innovation pilot program.

The session will focus on disruption and the changes needed to drive significant, sustained improvements in oral health. According to the course description, there are "important changes" coming in the dental care market as consumerism redraws "how patients interact with dentists, and the solo, private practice model is slowly being replaced by large group practices." It will also address data that shows fewer adults are visiting the dentist each year while at the same time more dentists practicing in the U.S.
