August 08, 2019
San Francisco –– For dentists and dental team members curious about how standards and technical reports in dental information technology are created, a series of meetings Sept. 2-4 may be the place to start.
The American Dental Association Standards Committee on Dental Informatics will gather at the Marriott Marquis immediately preceding the ADA FDI World Dental Congress, and all interested parties can attend to learn more about standards development.
The committee's working groups, which meet Sept. 2-3, develop the standards and technical reports. The full committee meets Sept. 4.
For more information on the meetings, contact Paul Bralower at 1-800-621-8099, ext. 4129, or firstname.lastname@example.org. For hotel and registration information, contact Marilyn Ward at 1-800-621-8099, ext. 2506, or email@example.com.
The ADA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute to develop national standards for products and information technology used by the dental profession and consumers. Currently there are more than 90 national standards, and more are under development.
