Free webinar on locum tenens dentists Feb. 26
February 08, 2019
Have you ever thought about what would happen to your practice in the event of your absence for a short period of time?
Who would treat your patients?
A free ADA webinar on Feb. 26 will address this situation.
A locum tenens dentist is a dentist who works in the place of the regular dentist when that dentist is absent. A locum tenens dentist may also work in the place of a deceased dentist, giving the owner of the dental office time to sell the practice.
The definition of locum tenens, roughly translated from Latin, means "to hold a place."
This webinar will feature a dentist who had a short-term absence and needed to hire a temporary dentist; a dentist who provided temporary dental services and how they discovered those opportunities; and a representative from a major dental plan who will explain its policies on locum tenens dentists.
The webinar is from noon-1 p.m. Central time and offers one hour of continuing education credit.
