Global Dental Relief seeking volunteers for 2019 trips
February 05, 2019
There is a last-minute need for dentists, hygienists, assistants and nondental volunteers for two trips sponsored by Global Dental Relief this spring and summer, according to the ADA Foundation.
The first trip is to Kathmandu, Nepal, from April 2-13. There is an option to extend through April 22 to trek along the Mount Everest trail. Two more dentists are needed. The project fee is $1,350, and $2,650 if the trip is extended.
The second trip is to San Martin, Guatemala, from May 24-June 2 or May 31-June 9. The project fee, which includes sightseeing in Antigua, is $1,680, and dentists, hygienists, assistants and nondental volunteers are needed.
Global Dental Relief's mission is to bring free dental care to children around the globe in Nepal, India, Guatemala, Kenya and Cambodia. Teams of volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants and general volunteers deliver treatment and preventive care in dental clinics that serve children in schools, orphanages, and remote villages.
