Registration open for February ADA Standards Committee meetings

Interested dentists, including new participants, are invited to the ADA Standards Committee on Dental Informatics' meeting at ADA headquarters Feb. 24-26.
The ADA SCDI develops standards and technical reports for electronic dental technologies such as electronic patient records, practice management systems and digital radiography. SCDI meetings are open to all interested parties and will feature a new member orientation for new participants. Standards and technical reports are developed in SCDI working groups, which will meet beginning at noon Central time Feb. 24 through noon Feb. 26. The SCDI standards committee will meet at 1 p.m. on Feb. 26.

The ADA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute to develop American National Standards for products and information technology used by the dental profession and by consumers. Currently there are more than 90 national standards and more are under development. National standards developed by ADA help serve the dental profession by ensuring product safety and efficacy for both clinician and patient and by providing information on new and emerging technologies.
